Full-Time Production Designer
Job Description
Guru seeks an experienced production designer to join our full-time staff. This position will work in close partnership with Guru’s creative director, graphic designers, copywriters and strategists to deliver compelling designs that evolve our clients narrative. This position will be responsible for translating creative ideas and directions into specific assets and tactics, attending to detail and preparing files for delivery to media, printing, and other production needs.
Location: We welcome your remote (but U.S.-based) location, as we are a virtual team with employees across the United States and hubs in California and Burlington, VT.
The priorities for this role include:
- Create multiple assets from concept or master files, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency.
- Coordinate workflow to internal team, prep files and ensure proper specifications are delivered to vendors.
- Create final mechanical files for print and digital production.
- Ensure that quality/resolution of photographs/images, color mode, copy, and size of file for implementation.
- Manage brand consistency, development and execution of work based on established design systems; exceptional eye for details in branding.
- Support teams developing presentations, decks, and internal marketing materials.
- Brainstorming original big ideas and creative pathways alone and in collaboration with the creative team.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify key insights to help drive creative programming and ensure all concepts are on brief, and align with client objectives.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with a diverse mix of teams, balancing the needs of stakeholders while ensuring brand standards are upheld.
Guru’s must possess the following qualities:
- Work well in a team, but be self-directed enough to work alone, given our remote culture.
- Possess incredible time management skills that allow you to prioritize across multiple clients.
- Be able to work under high pressure deadlines.
- Have demonstrated experience designing for both web/digital media and print/traditional channels.
- Exceptional capability with typography, and layout.
- Have an interest in conscious commerce, popular culture, and new advertising trends and techniques.
- Proficiency with design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proven track record with a compelling portfolio of diverse work.
