General Duties:
Scheduling and production coordination of community spaces at CFPA with a focus on CFPA’s two new performance spaces.
Scope includes:
· Collaborate with staff on the development of process, protocol, and communications for access and use of spaces;
· Respond to inquiries, meet with prospective tenants, negotiate use of spaces for a range of activities including workshops, performances, recitals, open studios, and events;
· Interface with tenant production staff. Work collaboratively with technical crew and designers to make sure the production and technical elements of each event are supported and occur safely. Schedule and attend tenant design and production meetings as needed;
· As required, oversee the hiring, coordination, and supervision of additional production staff and contractors, including event staff, artists, and volunteers.
· Facilitate communications throughout production processes, and act as a liaison between directors, designers, stage managers, artists, and other CFPA tenants and staff.
· Work in collaboration with other activities and staff at CFPA.
Specific Duties:
· Utilize G-suite based schedule system and Intuit or similar invoicing process;
· Engage Technical Director for support as needed;
· Review and plan for technical and safety considerations;
· Ensure that studios, stages, green rooms, and storage areas are organized.
Qualifications:
· Excellent verbal and digital communication skills, the ability to manage shifting and competing priorities, exercise good judgment and discretion, and maintain a positive attitude in stressful environments are all essential attributes. Night and weekend hours are required.
· Formal education in a performance production field including stage management, performance production, technical direction, and events management, OR a minimum of three years direct experience as a Production Manager or as a member of a Production Management team;
· Experience in effective event organizing, volunteer coordination, and building community relationships.
· Experience scheduling, organizing and producing events for theater, dance or musical productions.
· Experience skillfully negotiating the needs of folks from a range of cultures, priorities, and personal styles in artistic and technical discussions.
· Experience creating, monitoring and adhering to budgets.
· Able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor on an occasional, as-needed basis.
· Experience reading ground plans, light plots, and other theatrical specifications;
· Access to personal computer for work and reliable access to internet connection;
· Access to reliable transportation;
· Experience working in a mission-based organization;
· Experience working in a multi-faceted community with care, sensitivity and respect;
· Other duties as required.
Preferred:
· Technical Directing experience
