Full-Time Product Support Specialist

Job Description

Job Description Summary: Provide advanced technical product support for proprietary hardware and software of QT POD’s Fixed Fuel POS terminal systems via phone, fax and email.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Provide technical product support via phone, fax and email for customers, product distributors, fuel resellers, oil companies and fueling service companies.
Perform technical analysis and basic troubleshooting for hardware and software products.
Take corrective action and provide timely resolution of technical problems.
Open, track and close trouble tickets, ensuring issues are accurately documented
Provide necessary documentation for shipping/receiving of repair/replacement equipment.
Create technical and troubleshooting process documentation as necessary.
Provide quality testing and validation for proprietary hardware and software.
Installation and service support of terminal setup and wiring to fuel farm equipment.
Installation and service support of proprietary software programs on various computer models and operating systems.
Acquire and maintain a basic understanding of credit card processing and provide customer setup and support through various merchant service providers.
Acquire and maintain a basic understanding of aviation and marine fuel farm equipment and provide troubleshooting support and proper installation instruction.
Some on-site field installation and/or service support a possibility.
Once trained, after-hours duty will be required on a rotating basis with other technical staff
Job Qualifications / Skills:

Basic understanding of electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
General mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic schematics and block diagrams.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel and Word.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to utilize logical processes.
Ability to manage potentially difficult calls in a professional and positive manner.
Ability to work and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organization and communication skills.
Must be self-motivated and able to maintain productivity with minimal supervision.
