Full-Time Product Operations Manager

Job Description

The Product Operations Manager will play a critical part in executing our product data and insights strategy, implementing, and managing tooling and workflows to support product and company initiatives with data. This role will drive continuous process improvement and data-informed decisions within the Product Strategy team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the transparency of data. A passion for problem solving and strong analytical and communication skills will be essential to success.
This role requires the ability to think both strategically and tactically, persistent attention to detail, and a self-starter that is able drive results while working with a high degree of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have product management and/or product operations experience.
Your Impact:
  •  Pendo Implementation and Administration: Implement and manage the Pendo analytics platform across multiple products and teams. Ensure proper setup and configuration of Pendo to meet organizational needs. Train and support product teams and track usage to identify and close gaps. Serve as the administrator for our Pendo environment, providing support and consultation on use cases and best practices to expand adoption and achieve actionable insights.
  • Data Transparency and Governance: Expand the transparency of business, tech, and product data across the organization. Develop and enforce data governance standards and best practices and facilitate our Pendo Center of Excellence across products to ensure Pendo initiatives are progressing. Ensure data quality and consistency across different platforms.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Enable and promote data-informed decision making within the Product Management teams. Analyze and understand product, technology, and business data to identify key metrics and KPIs. Implement dashboards and reporting to share data and outcomes with product teams, leadership, and key stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Lead various operational projects from initiation to completion. Define project scopes, objectives, and timelines. Coordinate with team members to ensure project milestones are met. Identify and mitigate potential project risks. Prepare project requirements, plans, analyses, methods, documents, reports, and reviews for stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve operational processes to enable data-informed decisions and integrate quantitative and qualitative insights into workflows. Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for optimization. Propose and implement process improvements to increase productivity and streamline workflows. Plan, train, and implement new department processes including roles and responsibilities, onboarding, and product management standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Meet with stakeholders from different departments to identify and fulfill needs for data and reporting. Develop strategies to enhance the transparency and sharing of data across departments. Broaden the adoption Pendo cross functionally and manage the implementation of key integrations with other operational tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to product operations projects and deliverables at both product and portfolio levels. Create and deliver regular updates to the Senior Director of Product Operations and other stakeholders. Organize and maintain SOPs and Product Operations files within shared repositories (SharePoint, Internal Knowledge Base).
 
There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of Pendo administration in a multi-app environment. Pendo Admin certification a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in product operations or quantitative analysis roles, ideally having worked closely with product teams.
  • Proficiency with data analytics tools such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI, and proven ability to develop quantitative analysis, ad-hoc reports, and dashboards to derive meaning from raw data.
