Who we are:
At TrueLayer, we’re building a global open banking platform that’s changing how money moves and so much more. We make payments and refunds instant, account data accessible and verification seamless — all so innovators in every industry can build better financial experiences for their users.
To date, we’ve raised $270 million from world-renowned investors including Stripe, Tiger Global, Addition and Tencent. We’ve got offices in London, Milan, Dublin and Sydney. And we’re trusted by industry leaders like Revolut, Cazoo and Trading 212… though we’re not stopping here.
Our vision is a financial system that works for everyone. To make that happen, we’re creating original and innovative products that will remove the friction from finance for good. We’re seriously scaling our infrastructure, we’re entering new territories all the time, we’re cornering a whole new category — and we’d like your help to get us there.
Description
TrueLayer’s Data Experience team builds and maintains user experiences used by tens of thousands of users across every day. Our goal is to make open banking the default choice for users and businesses who want to share and understand financial data. Data Experience sits within TrueLayer’s Data Products group. Together we develop products that are replacing the status quo, establishing themselves as best-in-class and opening up finance.
Our auth dialog guides end-users to securely share their financial data. From the developer console, clients configure and optimise their integrations. Our demo application (affectionately called Piggy Bank) demonstrates key Data API features to less tech-savvy audiences; it’s also used by our global network of testers to road test new connectivity.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own and grow these products and associated APIs.
You’ll be making decisions that affect the user journeys of thousands of users everyday. Some of the biggest names in fintech rely on TrueLayer for high converting, secure authentication flows. As such, you’ll need to be customer obsessed, data driven and design focused. As the person responsible for our authentication flow and the data section within the developer console, you’ll be a key dependency for every other data product in the group. Collaboration is key.
As our product manager for Data Experience, you will:
- Set the roadmap for the Data Experience team and help us discover how we can make authentication seamless for our clients and their users
- Work with the team to design and build web apps, APIs and more – whatever will allow our clients to go live with a great user experience
- Work closely with the other data teams to align roadmaps and features behind the data products group strategy
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and integration sales on product and feature launches
- Work with other exceptionally talented and motivated global peers to shape our products and features
Requirements
What we need from you:
- Have product management experience in a product-first company, working with designers and engineers to launch user-facing products
- Have a developer-facing mindset – you are able to put yourself in the shoes of our clients, building products that make developer’s lives easier
- Are comfortable optimising user journeys, thinking about conversion funnels and running A/B tests, making decisions based on data and user feedback
- Are customer- and user-focused; everything you do, you do it to create a platform that our clients and their users love
- Are a strong collaborator – proven ability to manage requests from multiple teams and prioritise based on company objectives and user impact
- Would consider themselves a “people-person” – equally comfortable gathering user feedback, presenting your ideas to engineers or reporting your KPIs back to your product team – verbal and written communication is key
- Enjoy working in cross-functional teams with people from all over the world. Our ambitions are global, and so is the exceptional team we’ve built
Nice to haves:
- Specific experience working with a financial product
- Experience working on B2B2C products, or experience with both developing products for developers and developing products for end-users
- Start-up experience
