As a Product Designer you’ll work with multiple entrepreneurs and their teams to help them build new products and bring them to market.

At the ideas42 Venture Studio we draw on our years of behavioral science research to co-design innovative companies with talented entrepreneurs that solve massive social challenges, while also delivering social benefit and enterprise value. We do this by recruiting the best entrepreneurs, surrounding them with technology and behavioral science experts, and connecting them to enterprises with meaningful problems.
We have three businesses in our portfolio, and four incredible entrepreneurs joining the studio in February to start software businesses that help reduce the excess costs of poverty. What You’ll Help Make Happen & Experience:
We are seeking a full-time Product Designer to help our entrepreneurs build elegant, user-friendly, SaaS products that improve the financial health and well being of people with low and moderate income. You will be involved in our business development processes from the very beginning, and your primary responsibilities will be:
– Rapid prototyping: Take concepts and quickly make them tangible as clickable prototypes, or demoable code
– Product design: Bring your prototypes to life with thoughtful, engaging design
You will also play a key role supporting our entrepreneurs as they navigate the process of product development: articulating their product vision, simplifying that vision into a go-to market plan, mapping user journeys, testing the experience, and shipping a product.
Requirements
4+ years of product design experience in SaaS (or SaaS-like) businesses
An organized thinker and project manager
Deep knowledge of best practices, trends in product design, and a demonstrated interest in continual learning
Comfortable working with several small, distributed teams
Efficient and self-directed
Strong communication skills – especially written
Experience working with remote engineering teams to ship products
Comfortable balancing competing priorities and a demonstrated ability to ruthlessly prioritize
