Full-Time Product Designer
Job Description
As our Product Designer, you are responsible for delivering end-to-end design process- from concept to research to wireframes to high fidelity prototypes to usability testing and working with product/engineering to deliver a user-centric product with the customer experience in mind. You are in a constant cycle of understanding your user’s needs, processing opportunities, iterating through ideas with teams, and proposing solutions. You take the time to craft visual experiences keeping user needs, engineering constraints, and business goals in mind, while always keeping one eye on the future. You care about the problem you’re solving and the people you are solving it with.
This role will report to the Director of Product Design.
What you will do:
We are a small yet mighty team and are constantly looking to add individuals to help take our product team to the next level. With this role, you will have ample opportunity to have a direct impact on the product as it grows.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Success, and other areas of the business by enabling a design thinking approach to understanding and solving problems as well as validate solutions with our customers.
- Drive and bring our product roadmap forward in the both areas of UI/UX design.
- Help in contributing to our design processes and systems in order to streamline the product build process.
- Listen, ask, process, iterate, validate over and over again.
- Work with users to solve their problems, not build their solutions
What you will need:
- 3-5 years of product design experience with building and shipping successfully launched digital products
- A strong portfolio with high-quality visual and interaction design to be submitted with application.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end design process- from concept to research to wireframes to high fidelity prototypes to usability testing to working with engineering to deliver user-centric product
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders and customers as well as receive feedback on designs
- Ability to work within a cross-functional high-paced team
- Ability to empathize with users and dive into the domain
- Well-attuned attention to detail in designing experiences, ability to think through different scenarios users might encounter outside of the “happy path”
Nice to have:
- Digital products for enterprise IT, or complex software products
- Experience in advanced prototyping tools such as UXPin as well as working with standard design tools (Adobe CC, Adobe XD, Sketch, Invision, etc)
- Experience with designing for data, visualizations, and dashboards
