Job Summary: The Procurement Manager – Cannabis oversees the forecasting and execution of all external cannabis purchasing channels. They are responsible for building and leveraging relationships, collecting complete and accurate pre-delivery data from vendors . This person should be a highly motivated learner with the ability to take initiative and adhere to compliance guidelines. Creating and maintaining documentation and a continuously updated, accurate database of purchases and their associated compliance documentation is imperative to the success of this position. The Procurement Manager – Cannabis will report to the Director of Wholesale.

Duties:
- Collects and archives New Vendor onboarding documents in accordance to Bud and Mary’s SOP.
- Maintains, and Provides Bud and Mary’s Onboarding documentation to New Procurement Vendors.
- Tracks and archives all vendor contact information in accordance to Bud and Mary’s SOP.
- Initiates New Item Data sets in POS software as orders with new items are placed. Works closely with Inventory Leaders to train and maintain B&M naming conventions.
- Initiates, tracks, and amends all purchases via Leaf Logix Purchase Order module in real time.
- Has experience running and maintaining Data analysis platforms, i.e. Tableau, Excel, Google Sheets, Metrc, Leaf Logix, Leaflink, Leaftrade.
- Facilitates interdepartmental communication between all B&M departments within the procurement process flow – Wholesale, Receiving/Inventory, Compliance, Marketing, Distribution, Finance.
- Tracks associated payments and their aging status. Acts as liaison to AP department.
- Owns and maintains structure and schedule for periodic ordering from vendors.
- Maintains communication and administration of procurement deals with brevity and sense of urgency – SKU Generation, Purchase Orders, Amended Purchase Orders, Closing Purchases, Onboarding documentation, Marketing Documentation, Lab Testing Documentation, MIWOL, Handing off to AGMI at point of scheduling, Auditing of Metrc Manifest vs Invoice, Completion of AP, etc.
- Organizes and presents Supply Chain Analysis reports/plans for 3rd party goods sold through our retail channels.
- Develop, maintain, and organize all Process Flow Mapping and SOPs for procurement operations.
- Must have a passion for compliance and is an expert in METRC.
- Stays current on product and market knowledge, company information, new launches, campaigns and promotions.
- Coordinate with retail management on promotions and deals to be run based off of current/projected inventory levels and incentives passed along from vendors.
- Audit and close purchase orders in Leaf Logix, ensuring that all COA’s and internal purchase orders are properly filled out, completed, and stored in the appropriate places.
- Vendor Relations – Communicating with vendors regarding lab results, product issues, process requirements, etc. Replies to all vendor inquiries within 1 business day.
- Creates, maintains, and ensures accurate records within company google drive for all Procurement deals and operations, including, but not limited to COA’s, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders/Quotes logbooks, Marketing Materials, Training Records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- 2 Years Cannabis procurement management or supply chain experience required
- Previous experience with inventory management required
- Previous experience with supply chain analysis required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficiency in METRC required, other seed-to-sale tracking software preferred (Familiarity with Leaf Logix a plus); training will be provided, so at a minimum the ability to learn and master the program will be required.
- Demonstrates abilities in one or more of the following tracks: Supply chain analysis, compliance, IT/Technology, procedural development (additional tracks may be added as needed)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Communication skills (interpersonal, oral and written)
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain proper badging as required by the state of MA
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays
