We are looking for a highly motivated Principal Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team!

 

How You’ll Contribute

  • Own the opto-mechanical architecture for complex high speed imaging systems.
  • Provide effective mechanical engineering solutions that satisfy performance, manufacturability, and serviceability.
  • Work with vendors to ensure that products are manufactured as intended with adequate quality assurance.
  • Perform tradeoff studies to evaluate different concepts.
  • Able to own the design for complex opto-mechanical assemblies from requirements to detailed design.
  • Mentor and review designs of other engineers, providing constructive feedback to reduce risk and maximize performance.
  • Able to manage relationships with mechanical engineering consulting firms

 

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks or equivalent modeling software
  • Extensive experience with precision mechanics and micron level tolerances
  • Extensive experience designing opto-mechanical systems
  • Hands-on and independent work style, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
