Full-Time President & CEO
Job Description
DAREarts uses creative experiential learning and leadership development to empower young people across Canada to realize their full potential. We offer children and youth aged 9-17 a turning point; a critical moment of early intervention where we see the brilliant potential of each child and help them to see it for themselves. We empower young people to activate positive change in their lives and in their communities. Students return to classes more engaged, with stronger participation rates, ready to learn, challenge themselves, and take positive risks and are more likely to further their educational journey.
We believe leaders aren’t born, they’re built. Our model disrupts common conceptions of youth leadership development. Instead of focusing on young people that have already demonstrated their leadership capacity, we see our programs as a critical intervention for children and youth who, for many reasons, may never consider themselves as leaders without support. We create a learning environment where participants can develop the skills, behaviors and confidence they need to see themselves as vital and capable changemakers. Our in-school and extracurricular programs provide a supportive, hands-on and community guided environment, for young people to find their voice, connect with their peers and build the skills they need to create a more positive path forward.

They will bring exceptional and demonstrated skills in securing funding and lead the organization’s fundraising strategy and implementation efforts.
