Job Description
Great opportunity to join a team of 50 people at an award-winning PR and Digital agency, Clarion Communications, based in Southwark, London
Clarion Communications is a Top 100 full-service, WPP PR & Digital agency with offices in the heart of London and Glasgow, working with some of the UK’s most popular brands including Aldi, Unilever, Wilkinson Sword, Tate & Lyle, Border Biscuits, Quintessential Brands and Wickes amongst many others.
This particular role will be to work across a portfolio of hugely successful Consumer PR accounts – Aldi, plus potentially another Consumer PR account.
Aldi is Clarion’s largest client and we work across Aldi Food plus possibly one or more of: Aldi’s Beers, Wines and Spirits, Specialbuys categories, Health & Beauty, Mother & Baby or Petcare.
Aldi Projects is an exciting part of the programme – ad hoc campaigns created to generate additional news – eg Aldi’s Champagne Bar just before Christmas or the Sprouts campaign – both fabulous examples of Aldi Projects.

Headline Responsibilities
- You’ll be part of an incredibly fast paced and dynamic team
- You’ll be working on creative news stories, experiential activity and a busy press office
- Potentially working across food & drink, health & beauty, petcare, and food – so you’ll be targeting consumers across all sectors
- You’ll be overseeing the Influencer Gifting Activity (working with Clarion’s Digital team)
- Oversee day-to-day activity of the Junior PR team
Desired Skills and Experience
- Min 4 years’ PR experience
- Energy, creativity, strategic thinking and great organisational skills
- Excellent working knowledge of national and consumer media, track record in generating news angles and achieving stand out coverage for big brands
- Ability to create concepts and strategies for engaging social media campaigns
- Strong team leadership and motivational skills
- A proven track record of managing teams
- FMCG/Retail experience
- Knowledge about and/or an interest in wine/drinks would be a plus but not essential
- Experience handling big budget clients

Location
Clarion is now based in Southwark on a WPP ‘campus’ location, part a hub of Ad, Digital and PR agencies with river views and rooftop bar!
