Do you want to be part of a high profile organisation, full of committed colleagues working towards a future in which there is a home for everyone? Then join the National Housing Federation as a Policy Assistant. No two days are ever the same but each one is dedicated to supporting housing associations to succeed.
The National Housing Federation (NHF) is the trade body for housing associations in England. Our housing association members provide 3m homes for six million people. We are the voice of affordable housing in England, and believe everyone should have the home they need at a price they can afford. We operate at the forefront of the political debate and our work affects the lives of millions of people across the country.
As a Policy Assistant, you will play a vital support role to the NHF’s policy team, as well as working across the organisation. Being flexible and adaptable in your approach will enable you to support the team with competing priorities and deadlines.
You will be working across a range of different areas, which may include housing supply, homelessness and welfare, and be able to get up to speed with new information quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and organisational ability are vital for this role.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to housing and social policy and to develop your research, analytical, communication and organisational skills.
This is a great opportunity to join an organisation making a real impact. If you would like to have an informal discussion about the role, please call John Butler on 0207 067 1010.
The NHF is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and we value the contribution each individual makes to our work. We are committed to ensuring our workforce reflects the diversity of the society in which we live and encourage applications from people of all different backgrounds, regardless of all protected characteristics or social background.
We are a disability confident employer and if you are a disabled person who demonstrates you meet the skills and experience we consider essential for the role, we will offer you an interview.
We look forward to hearing from you!
