The transformation you will experience.

The role of the Planning Director will work closely with the Client Partner to provide leadership, direction, and high-quality day-to-day servicing for their clients. You will oversee planning across all online and offline channels with a particular emphasis on digital. The Planning Director will be accountable for leading the overall marketing and communications strategy development process for your clients, providing key campaign insights, mentoring juniors within the team, marketing campaign reporting and when required, assisting on new business pitches.

Your scope will include:

  1. Assess your clients’ business and of the key broader factors and trends shaping their markets and category. Build and evolve exceptional relationships with day to day leads on the client side, as well as with the clients’ partner agencies
  2. Have a primary focus on channel planning including the production of the supporting documentation that details, the POE ecosystem, channel selection, role of channel, phasing, block plan and high-level budget bearings
  3. Be accountable for the connectivity, consistency, and timely delivery of the components of the response to brief including strategy, comms planning and investment and optimization and work with relevant internal and external parties to bring this to life
  4. Influence, inspire and motivate your team. Managing workloads of Managers, Planning Executives, and Coordinators
  5. Assist the Client Partner in seeking out opportunities to grow existing business and drive organic growth across group of accounts, through Zenith’s services as well as those of Publicis Groupe.

What type of person will be successful in this role?

  • 8+ years experience in media, digital or marketing preferred.
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (marketing, advertising, media, digital)
  • Depth knowledge of syndicated and proprietary tools is an advantage
  • Advanced knowledge of the Australian media landscape including digital
  • Exceptional client facing communicator with excellent presentation skills
  • A proven leader who can coach and inspire a team
  • A natural collaborator and problem solver who is enthusiastic about helping others with the ability to coordinate the output of a diverse range of specialists.
