Full-Time Pittsburgh Innovation Center Manager
Job Description
The OneValley Innovation Center Manager develops, maintains, and expands the relationships between OneValley, the startup community in Pittsburgh, and global corporations. This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage the operational efforts of a high-energy co-working space, run programming and partnership efforts, and collaborate with entrepreneurs at early stage startups and executives at major corporations.
The Innovation Center Manager will report to the General Manager of OneValley Pittsburgh, and will need to work effectively with the local team as well as a distributed team across our Pittsburgh, Silicon Valley, Boston, and future OneValley locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a startup sales pipeline, meeting with and mentoring early-stage startups, and leading vendor relationships and center operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and maintain a pipeline of startups that align with the OneValley criteria
- Ensure space operational efficiency and desk/office space capacity; responsible for office and membership sales, hitting targets and quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results)
- Identify and maintain a pipeline of corporate partners for event/media sponsorship and OneValley corporate innovation programming
- Work with local partners to identify and build relationships with startups, investors, co-working spaces, accelerators, and corporate innovators
- Work with the Pittsburgh GM and Silicon Valley HQ team to develop relationships, close deals, and identify growth opportunities with current, new, and potential partners
- Produce, organize, and maintain sales and marketing materials including presentation decks, case studies, competitive landscapes, newsletters, and contact lists
- Work with the events team on production and logistical support for demo days, mentor sessions, and other weekly, monthly, and quarterly events
- Recruit, on-board, and train Pittsburgh-based mentors to the GSV Passport platform
- Manage Innovation Center vendor relationships
- Work with other OneValley team members and staff to meet the needs of our community and customers
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience within a startup, VC, innovation group, or relevant field.
- Passion for and knowledge of the startup space
- Passion for and experience in working with startups from a range of industry sectors
- Track record of effectively developing business relationships that impact company performance
- Excellent focus on attention to both detail and macro-level outcomes
- Excited to work in an ever changing and unpredictable environment
- Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction but high expectations
- Strong internal and external communicator with great interpersonal skills
- 5+ years experience within a startup, VC, innovation group, or relevant field
- Experience in both large companies and startups preferred;
