Job Description
Fixed term contract up until the end of August 2024. (The role is covering a period of Maternity Leave and so may be required to change depending on circumstances).
Salary: £37,500FTE (pro rata) £22,500
Hours: 21 hours per week. Flexible across the week
Opportunity to autonomously manage and blend your hours around our core times of 10am-3pm and across our operating times between 7am-9pm to fit in with your work and lifestyle commitments.
Due to the nature of this fundraising role you’ll also need to work flexibly to attend fundraising work events which can be evenings or weekends.
Place of work: Home based with frequent travel to our Head Office in Cardiff City Centre (close to Cardiff Castle & the Principality Stadium).
Although we love to see our people in the office, we don’t set regular and weekly office days as we know how important flexibility is to all of us. However, due to the client facing nature of the role candidates should be based in and around the South Wales area within easy reach of Cardiff.

You’ll join a well-performing fundraising team that generates £2.5million a year and are expert fundraisers. They’re a welcoming team who work together to support you to do well as you work in person with our high net worth donors and put on quality events growing our network and income streams.
Tell Us About You
We’d love to hear from you if you feel you’re a good match to do a great job. Ideally you’ve Third Sector experience although it’s not essential. We’d love to know more about you if you’ve:
- A background in achieving income against agreed targets securing five figure sums
- Demonstrable experience of recruiting new high net worth clients
- Experience of fostering and managing long term business and client relationships
- Experience of producing written reports and proposals, delivering information in both formal and informal styles
- People management or leadership experience
- Event management experience
The Job
Working closely with our Head of Fundraising you’ll be responsible for managing prestigious VIP events start to finish, delivering against budgets and being responsible for a reputation of forging quality relationships when it comes to working with our high value net worth donors and corporates.
You’ll lead our annual high profile portfolio of events such as Gourmet Golf, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, World Cancer Day events and Cardiff & Llandaff Lovelight concerts.
The magic ingredients for someone to make this role special are professionalism, focus, determination, creativity and resilience. You’re an idea’s person with a business brain who thinks outside of the box. You navigate professional relationships and networks seamlessly. You proactively deliver quality work time after time with finesse as well as the big bucks.
You’re someone who’s not fazed in dealing with our most high net worth supporters and corporates and can tell us how you’ve done this before. You deliver through networking, building new relationships and excel in top notch service. Ideally, having done this job in the Third Sector already you’re able to guide our prestigious supporters with your professional advice to maximise opportunities and income streams.
While the role’s a lot of fun and super rewarding you do need a head for business and a background in leadership – it isn’t all glitz and glam! You’re a manager responsible for supporting our Fundraising & Events Executive, bringing in income and running high profile events. So, you’re accountable for being on top of things and are responsible for heading off any problems before they happen to make things go seamlessly.
