Temporary Petitioner – Legalize Marijuana in Oklahoma! (Multiple Cities) Deadline approaching. Hiring urgently.
Job Description
Join our campaign to legalize recreational adult use of marijuana in Oklahoma! The criminalization of marijuana has gone on for far too long. It is time for Oklahoma to stop punishing people for small amounts of marijuana and instead use tax revenue from legal sales for healthcare and education. We are fighting to put an end to small possession arrests for cannabis! We will be working to pass sensible marijuana laws that promote equitable drug regulation and expand access to health services.
We’re urgently hiring campaign staff to gather petition signatures from Oklahoma voters to put an important initiative on the ballot in 2022! Petitioners are paid hourly to canvas busy public places and ask passersby to stop and sign a petition with their name and date saying they want the chance to vote on the issue.
We are hiring immediately, all positions run through June 28th with possibilities for advancement afterwards. Shifts run from 10:30am – 6:30pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time.
Get paid well! Canvass positions start at $24/hour. Leadership positions start at $23/hour. We offer overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals. All team members have the opportunity to earn up to an extra $33 per week bonus for working 6 shifts in a week, as well as a $50 bonus for anyone who collects 45 or more valid signatures in any shift. We also offer up to $400 when you refer a friend who works on the campaign.
Stay Safe! We have strict health and safety protocols that include a contactless approach to campaign work. We provide all of the training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) you will need.
