The Account Manager interacts with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires supporting the team in daily client servicing for a specific set of clients and entails a great deal of verbal, electronic and other written communications. The Account Manager will manage the renewal and marketing process, and prepare materials for presentations and communications, in collaboration with their more senior team members. Work is completed with a significant amount of independent discretion. In this role, you will take on the role of supporting the assigned clients. You will have client retention targets in supporting the account management team. This is an excellent opportunity for growth and a career trajectory to managing your own book of business.
This is a full-time position working from our Dallas, TX office. After training, the in-office days will be 1-2 days a week. We will consider experienced candidates with HNW experience and Texas market experience for a remote role. Must be able to work 8:00-5:00 CST hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
- Responsible for accurate information such as updated exposures, driver information, reporting forms, signed endorsements and miscellaneous information to avoid any E&O claims.
- Maintains a follow-up system to ensure policies, endorsements and other information is received to comply with requests.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, and clients through regular contact and client visits. Keep clients apprised of appropriate industry trends and events, including all state and federal regulatory issues.
- Will proactively develop relationships with carrier and client contacts and take an active role in meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:
- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
- Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously
- Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner
- Customer focused to establish and maintain effective relationships
- Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sharp attention to detail, decision-making skills, and problem resolution
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology
Requirements
- P&C license required upon hire or able to obtain within 60 days of hire
- P&C Account/Client Management experience in Personal Lines required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly professional and self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with clients, colleagues, and carriers
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred
- A bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience. High school diploma or GED required
- Typically, more than 2 years of Personal Lines industry and product line experience in managing a book of business
- Experience with Texas market and carrier knowledge is highly preferred
- Experience with Epic a plus or any agency management or CRM
