Full-Time Performance Pathway Lead – Diving
Job Description
British Swimming is the National Governing Body for Swimming, Para-Swimming, Diving, Artistic Swimming, Water Polo and Marathon Swimming in Great Britain. We are seeking a Performance Pathway Lead for British Diving.
British Diving has an outstanding performance legacy of being a top medal earning Olympic sport for Great Britain in successive Games and the team is well positioned to continue that history at the Paris Olympics in 2024. At last year’s World Championships in Budapest, Hungary the Diving team finished 2nd in the medals table.
We are seeking a Performance Pathway Lead to join the team to support the development and implementation of a World Class Performance Pathway in Diving, to maximise the potential of athletes within the performance pathway and to work in conjunction with Home Nation development programmes to ensure alignment with the British Diving single system.
The successful individual will have previous experience of working within an Olympic Performance Pathway system. Also, experience of formulating and implementing performance-based solutions and developing and managing partnerships with key stakeholder organisations.
The purpose of this role within the team is:
- To manage and implement all aspects of the Performance Pathway in Diving from Home Nations Talent to the World Class Programme.
- To lead on the key relationships with the Home Nations – Swim England, Scottish Swimming, and Swim Wales ensuring a fully aligned and cohesive approach.
- To ensure the domestic competition structure is aligned and creates the optimal developmental environment and competitive pathway in Diving.
We are looking for someone who is able to work on their own and as well as leading and being part of a team with a flexible approach to work and the ability to work effectively under pressure whilst managing a diverse workload. Previous experience of working with diving athletes or equivalent, for example gymnastics, trampolining, would be desirable.
