Full-Time Performance Marketing Manager

The Room is a SaaS-based MediaTech marketplace that helps brands to most effectively source people of influence to amplify their marketing spend.  Our mission is to unlock peoples’ true love for brands.  Our clients include O2, Samsung, HelloFresh and  MARS, to name just a few.

 

We are at a hugely exciting juncture and are expanding the business rapidly.  We are now seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to drive engagement and acquisition of users – a role which is central to fulfilling our ambitious goals.

 

 

The Role

Reporting to the marketing director you own the user acquisition channels; ensuring we have a constant stream of engaged influencers joining the platform on a monthly basis in line with our wider business acquisition strategy.  You will execute campaigns and spend across all of our primary channels in order to ensure our UA is in line with our B2B acquisition, fueling our commercial strategy and growth plans.

 

This position is new to the business and a product of rapid growth with the requirement to segment our performance marketing team into users and B2B; you will take learnings from our existing success and be expected to apply your knowledge of social acquisition strategy to enable this channel to move quickly and hit stretching goals. Expect to be moving at a fast pace, developing long-term plans whilst implementing robust, fast-paced initiatives. We move quickly but we are thorough.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Implement an integrated lead generation strategy across a range of marketing channels – SEO, Paid, Email and Social Media
  • Recommend and manage an agreed budget to ensure all channels are optimised to achieve campaign objectives and acquisition KPIs
  • Support the development of the company’s new website which will more effectively capture and convert traffic
  • Drive down CPLs and CPAs across campaigns and channels
  • Increase conversion rates across the funnel; Lead: SQO and SQO: CW
  • Accurate tracking and reporting of all activity from managed channels
  • Regular testing and optimising of all channels to ensure KPI’s and targets are achieved
  • Work with in-house content team to ensure appropriate quality content is written and produced to support campaign objectives

 

 

Key Performance Indicators: 

The primary business KPIs for this role are lead generation and customer acquisition through campaign execution across integrated marketing channels:

 

  • Leads created by source and campaign
  • Meetings booked/completed per month by source and campaign
  • Opportunities created per month by source and campaign
  • CPA per leads/opportunities by source/campaign
  • Campaign execution and optimisation in line with strategy and plan deadlines

 

 

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics, and marketing automation tools (ideally HubSpot) and landing pages to support lead generation activities (e.g. new landing pages)
  • Knowledgeable about Display, PPC, paid social media, & SEO
  • Experience in running and managing campaigns across Paid Search and Paid Social channels with particular emphasis on instagram, Facebook and TikTok
  • Own the Paid Social strategy, management, execution, optimization, and reporting for larger integrated marketing campaigns
  • Participate in creating & delivering effective PPC strategies
  • Building/Setting up campaigns, tracking, reporting, and optimising
  • Budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, strategic testing, and campaign expansion

 

  • Proactive attitude and commercial mind-set
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Organised with strong attention to detail, delivering a high quality of output
  • Team player – ability to collaborate across other teams and with external agencies and freelancers
  • Extremely well organised, able to work to targets within tight timeframes

 

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in another fast-growing startup
  • Experience in key technologies: HubSpot, Google Analytics, Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads
  • Ideally, 2 years+ experience focused on paid acquisition channels
  • Growth mindset
  • Strong interest in B2B/C marketing
  • Familiarity with SaaS businesses
  • A passion for testing, measuring, learning, and optimising
  • Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong project management ability
