Full-Time Performance Manager
Job Description
Responsible for managing the performance team direct reports, providing hands on support to the client support team for inquiry escalations, key accounts and account retention. Oversees and provides analysis of performance data from all sources to provide direction on campaign strategies and identify at risk clients. Is a training resource and subject matter expert for all other departments including Marketing, Sales and Client Support & Strategy.
Primary Responsibilities
As Client Performance Team Lead- Internal Team Responsibilities
Analyze client’s performance to identify risks and determine actionable strategies that could impact client retention.
Focus on using performance data and industry knowledge to continually improve client performance, Firegang’s ability to get results and maintain a high client sentiment.
Define, test and roll out new client performance strategies and products, keeping the team focused on innovation and providing excellent client service.
Manage, develop and lead a team of performance employees, serving as the escalation point for team challenges.
Set quarterly goals and strategy that drive improved team and client performance
Work with performance team members to help develop and improve internal processes.
Conduct performance processes, tracking and full time employee reviews.
Manage independent contractors: schedules/time tracking, weekly hourly limits and time adjustments, identification and reporting to Finance any additional resources needed
Remain up to date on online marketing strategies, tactics, changes.
Complete Performance QA Tasks on new websites as needed.
As Client Performance Team Lead- External Team Responsibilities
Work with Client Service Team on client escalations, agreement renewals and upgrades.
Deep dives into client accounts with the CSMs, collaborating on strategies for improvement
Available to attend meetings with clients
Ongoing training with the Client Service team arming them with the ability to understand and effectively communicate performance results and tactics.
Be an active member of the Leadership team, brainstorming ways to improve Firegang, collaborate on team decisions and assist with special projects as needed.
Coordinate with other Team Leads to ensure any Performance Team changes are communicated and executed without breaks
Report new initiatives company wide for clear communication.
Create, manage and update the Performance Team’s client facing education sequence in conjunction with all other teams.
Generate reports to the President on a mid-quarter and quarterly basis.
Collaborate on team budget with Finance.
As Sales/Marketing Resource:
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to identify up to date case studies, client strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or a related field
Proven working experience in digital marketing
Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, paid ad management, funnels, social media and display advertising campaigns
Experience with running split tests, tracking results and summarizing learnings.
Solid knowledge of website analytics tools
Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
Experience in team management (bonus points for remote)
Demonstrated Skills in Core Areas

Ability to take ownership of projects, processes and client satisfaction
Self-starter that works well independently and with a team
