Full-Time Peer Coordinator
Job Description
Spectrum’s Peer Recovery Support Centers provide volunteer-driven support services for adults at varying stages of recovery. The main goal is to promote sobriety and help individuals living in the community sustain their recovery from alcohol and other drug use. All activities and services are led and driven by “peers” – that is, individuals who have experienced addiction and recovery, either directly or as a family member or friend. Each center offers a variety of support groups, recreational activities, social events and volunteer opportunities. Members also have access to onsite computers and a wealth of resource materials.
The Peer Coordinator is primarily responsible for volunteer recruitment and training, onsite supervision, recovery coaching, and group facilitation. Works closely with peer volunteers to plan, implement and evaluate program activities, helps facilitate volunteer committees, and provides recovery coaching to participants. This position is located at our Peer Recovery Center “The Recovery Connection” in Marlborough, MA.
The Peer Coordinator also performs case management activities regarding initial housing, job search, medical services, insurance, social services, education, etc.
This position is Full-time.
Pay rate is $15.00 – $17.00/hr.

Qualifications:
– Experience with Substance Abuse Recovery.
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
– Must have excellent verbal, social and writing skills.
– Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies.
– Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting.
– Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
– At least 2 years sustained sobriety for those in recovery themselves.
