Our team at The American Club leads the Midwest’s only five-diamond, five-star hotel, offering elegant accommodations and unparalleled service that has stood as an icon of gracious hospitality for 100 years. Join our top-rated food and beverage team and transform your passion for great food into an array of culinary techniques—from fine-dining and pub fare to pastries and banquets.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Preparing all foods necessary for service
* Ordering and Inventory control
* Practicing safe food handling techniques
* Maintaining knife safety standards
* Demonstrating competency in different pastry techniques
* Conducting monthly inventory taking
This is a full time opportunity, working weekdays and weekends between 4:00am and 12:00pm.
Skills/Requirements
* Culinary degree/certificate preferred, supplemented with at least one year of work experience in bread production
* Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and able to execute recipes accurately in a timely manner
* Ability to work food preparation stations in assigned area
