Job Summary
This position will be responsible for the security, custodial, grounds, recycling, repairs, maintenance, and utility services of parking facilities to ensure that they meet the university’s needs.
Due to the nature of the job, this position is not eligible for hybrid work and requires 100% onsite work.
Minimum Qualifications
• General facility maintenance experience and experience working in building or parking structure maintenance with strong technical knowledge and an understanding of workplace and personal safety on the job.
• Well-versed in technical operations and facilities management best practices.
• Valid Wisconsin Driver license (or other such valid operator’s permit recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation) and are able to meet or exceed the minimum requirements for driving on state business as detailed https://www.wisconsin.edu/uw-policies/uw-system-administrative-policies/vehicle-use-and-driver-authorization/driver-authorization-process-and-requirements/
• At least two years of prior experience in parking or facility maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated practical problem-solving/troubleshooting skills
• Evidence of organizational skills, including setting priorities and meeting deadlines in a rapidly evolving center
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Prior experience in a University or similar organization
