Part-Time Parking Control Officer
Job Description
The Oshkosh Police Department is seeking two Part-Time Parking Control Officers. This is a first shift position working a flexible part-time (25 hours per week) schedule, with core hours being Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Parking Control Officer is a non-sworn position within the Operations Bureau, Patrol Division and is responsible for enforcing and issuing all parking violations. Other duties may include:
- Responding to parking ticket appeals;
- Preparing for court and testifying in court honestly, impartially and convincingly;
- Operating a motor vehicle under various conditions;
- Caring for and maintaining department vehicles and equipment issued or assigned;
- Preparing and submitting written and daily activity reports;
- Entering overnight parking permission data;
- Tracking parking issues;
- Assisting other Police Department personnel, including sworn officers and civilian staff, as requested.
Qualified Candidates:
- At least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Salary: This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with a full benefits package. Compensation ranges from $20.06-22.93 per hour.
