Full-Time Outreach Learning Mentor

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team on a full-time basis, working closely with our Inclusive Learning and Development Lead and Outreach Practitioner to adopt innovative approaches to support young people who are not currently in education, transition back and take the next steps to FE.

Whether you’re a Qualified Teacher, Unqualified Teacher, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), Teaching Assistant (TA), or Home Tutor, we would like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with 16-19 years old with or without an EHC plan that have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including; SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Difficulties, and/or Specific Learning difficulties. As an Outreach Mentor, you will be expected to develop a good rapport with young people in order to support them effectively with transition. You will, therefore, need to have an excellent understanding of SEND, be dynamic and proactive and have strong behaviour management skills.
