Job Summary: The Outreach Advocacy Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining program oversight for TTD’s outreach advocacy program for victims of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking in all TTD outreach offices. This position requires regular work in TTD’s Portland outreach office and court and consistent travel to TTD’s Mid-Coast and Lakes Region outreach offices. This is a full-time exempt position starting at $21.25 per hour. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ensure consistent delivery of quality direct services at Through These Doors outreach offices by maintaining and sharing with staff up-to-date knowledge of Maine and Cumberland County’s civil justice systems and tools to improve the safety of victims and hold offenders accountable.
2. Provide on-going support and supervision for outreach program staff including daily interactions, regular site visits, workplan/evaluation development and oversight, and HR actions such as coaching, performance improvement plans, and corrective action plans.
3. Refer and link victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking to all TTD services including but not limited to emergency shelter, groups, legal resources, and face-to-face interactions.
5. Work with all who reach out to TTD to support and improve their understanding of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking.
Education, Training & Other Qualifications
1. Associate’s degree and three year’s relevant professional experience; Bachelor’s preferred
2. Successful completion of TTD’s helpline training, and participation in on-going education and training (post-hire)
3. Valid Maine driver’s license and automobile insurance
4. Satisfactory responses from government agencies to required background checks
5. Three years progressive, comparable work experience
6. Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues of domestic and sexual violence, dating violence, human trafficking, and stalking
7. Supervision and mentoring experience
8. Organizational and program leadership experience
9. Effective written and oral communication skills
10. Public speaking and group facilitation skills
11. Basic computer competency
