Job Description
NTSU is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the Membership Services Department as our Opportunities Manager. At NTSU we are very proud of our membership services and the impact that these services have on the lives of our students. Our mission is to empower students to make NTU the best academic and personal experience for themselves and others. The opportunities team does this by encouraging healthy communities on campus that represent and celebrate our diverse student members.
The successful applicant will lead the team responsible for delivering high quality sector leading inclusive opportunities through our student-led societies, communities, student media and give it a go programme, across all NTU campuses.
With over 14,000 students engaging within these activities already we are looking for an individual that will model our values of being student-led, inclusive, supportive, forward-thinking, and ambitious and continue to develop and build a service which is reflective of the diverse needs of our members. To achieve this, we are looking for a person with a constant desire and determination to raise the bar and challenge themselves and their team even when targets are met.
We know that engagement in extra-curricular activities at NTU directly impacts the academic success of our students, and it’s important to us that our diverse membership have equal access to our services and that services are reflective of their needs. Therefore, it is essential that candidates have a strong passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and can embed this in everything they do.
We want someone who is passionate about working with a variety of individuals, someone who welcomes a challenge, is willing to learn and is interested in leading the work of student opportunities. No day will ever be the same, we will provide you with the space to be innovative, develop the service you lead and provide you with a rewarding developmental experience as a NTSU staff member.
Successful candidates will be expected to start early September in time for our Freshers period.

As part of the interview process, we will be inviting candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person specification to participate in “pre interviews”. This will entail candidates being invited to meet with the interview panel to discuss their experience, knowledge, and skills.
