Full-Time Operations Assistant
Job Description
Highlands Rewilding Ltd is looking for a talented all-rounder to assist with a wide range of operational activities, based at Bunloit Estate, near Drumnadrochit.
The purpose of Highlands Rewilding is to enable nature recovery and community prosperity, through rewilding at scale. Land is managed to facilitate measurable increases in biodiversity and carbon sequestration, to generate ethical profits, and to enable community engagement/involvement in rewilding. As a mass-ownership company, Highlands Rewilding intends to broaden its shareholder base through a low minimum investment crowdfunding campaign, so that local and regional individuals and communities could own a share in rewilding land.
The Role
The Operations Assistant will report to the Head of Operations and provide valuable support across many aspects of estate operations. Areas in which the Operations Assistant will support include (but will not be limited to):
- Admin
- Ongoing development of health & safety and human resources procedures
- Sourcing of necessary equipment, materials, and services
- Tasks relating to holiday cottage management, including housekeeping
- Assisting the ranger team with land management tasks
- Research of available funding and drafting funding applications
- A variety of ad-hoc tasks for general support
This will be a full-time role of Mon-Fri, 9am – 5 pm. On occasion, there may be a need to work outside of these hours. The salary be within the range of £24,800 – £29,000, depending on experience.
Criteria
The successful candidate will be highly organised and adaptable, with the ability to multi-task, enjoying a mix of office and outdoor work. Experience in some of the above areas and/or relevant transferrable skills are desirable.
Because of the focus on Bunloit, the successful candidate will live within travelling distance of the estate or be prepared to relocate accordingly.
