Full-Time Operations Applications Specialist I (Req#2341)
Job Description
This individual is a contributor within the Lockbox Programming Team. Major responsibilities of this position will include input programming on the Lockbox processing platform and other ancillary modules according to customer specifications to meet the Department productivity, quality, and exceptional customer service standards.
Must be able to work in an onsite environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop/design input programs using custom software tools and testing schedules to meet customer specifications and targeted deadlines.
- Maintain clear, concise documentation adhering to Bank, SDLC, and Audit requirements.
- Support Lead Programmers in development, testing, and research. Develop a general knowledge of the Net Output Programming.
- Multi-task between various deadline projects and reorganize according to information obtained by Lockbox clients.
- Keep informed of and participate in installation of system enhancements and upgrades. Analyze enhancements/upgrades for potential negative impacts or opportunities for improvements.
- Recognize and communicate potential workflow design enhancements to meet department efficiency and quality goals.
- Provides high-level analysis and feedback to senior management on trends, impact issues and staff performance in a timely manner. Provides appropriate feedback to senior management to ensure action can be taken to avoid any reputational or regulatory risk to the Bank.
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
- Can handle customer specifications without assistance by making independent decisions, utilizing satisfaction standards while adhering to requirements that minimize risk to the Bank. The individual must be able to address any question programming tasks to their peers or management
- Must be able to detect and identify trends or patterns and report them to senior management in a timely manner. The individual may be responsible for contacting supporting personnel (ex, Lockbox Operations, Lockbox Programming, Eastern Bank Help Desk, Eastern Bank Technology, etc.), in the absence of management to ensure immediate action is taken to minimize any impact to service levels and or customer base.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Associate degree or related knowledge/skills base gained through experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge
- Strong Verbal and Written Skills required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Strong Microsoft knowledge and understanding of windows required.
