Job Description
Location: Lynn, MA
Under minimal direction of the Operations Manager, performs a variety of administrative tasks of moderate to high complexity in conformance with the established Bank policies, procedures, and audit controls. Duties include monitoring of production throughput of Deposit Operations functions as well as various seasonal and annual projects. Responsible for day-to-day supervision and leads with resolving any issues identified surrounding Deposit Operations.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of daily production within the Time Investment function of Deposit Operations.
- Coordinates with other departments to resolve production issues and ensure flow of work within the company is as efficient and accurate as possible.
- Acts as a resource in conjunction with (or in absence of) department management to provide support for complex issues and questions by utilizing in depth knowledge of all processes as well as upstream and downstream impacts within their area(s) of focus.
- Periodic updating of standard operating procedures and controls.
- Conduct scheduled compliance monitoring and controls testing to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and bank policies and procedures.
- Participates in periodic or annual processes including but not limited to:
- Department self audits
- IRS Reporting and Compliance
- Business Continuity Testing
- Department Projects
PROBLEM SOLVING & DECISION MAKING:
Independent decisioning for minor and/or mid-level issues, ability to identify potential solutions for more complex or uncommon issues for approval recommendation. Firm understanding of various state and federal regulations associated with the various functions performed in Deposit Operations. Proactively involve resources from other departments and various bank systems to solve issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
Completion of high school or equivalency required. Some college or Associate’s Degree preferred. Five to seven years of banking experience, preferably in operations or retirement account processing.
Skills/Knowledge
- Posses the ability to perform in a fast paced, high demand, environment whilst balancing multiple priorities.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizational levels, demonstrating flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability.
- Capability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience
