Temporary Online Fundraising Specialist
Job Description
Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking a talented individual to join the Supporter Growth and Cultivation team to support and grow the organization’s online grassroots fundraising program as the Online Fundraising Specialist. This person will support strategy and aid in implementing all aspects of Everytown’s multichannel grassroots fundraising work. We’re looking for an energetic, entrepreneurial individual who brings a comprehensive set of online fundraising skills to support Everytown’s mission to end gun violence in the U.S. This position will be based from either our NYC or DC office location and will be adhering to a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office and 2 days remote). Please note: this is a temporary position expected to end on January 15, 2025.
In this role you will:
- Be an integral member of the grassroots fundraising team.
- Use HTML to build emails and landing pages within the ActionKit CRM.
- Conduct and analyze testing regularly to identify effective tactics, messaging, and formatting of email communications, SMS broadcasts, and landing pages.
- Create and draft copy for fundraising pages across multiple channels and platforms.
- Develop and implement email list segmentation strategies to maximize email deliverability, fundraising results, and overall engagement.
- Guide copy/content approvals with multiple stakeholders quickly and efficiently.
- Proof and assure quality of all national SMS, email, and landing page content before launch.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within a growing, diverse team.
You should have:
- 2+ years of relevant online fundraising experience for political campaigns or non-profit advocacy groups.
- Familiarity with Actionkit or other types of CRMS and SMS programs is preferred.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment within a growing, diverse team with unpredictable hours in rapid response moments
- Excellent project management experience and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading skills
- Strong communication skills
The annualized salary range for this position is $67,000-$72,000.
