Full-Time Offshore Data Analyst
Job Description
As a RIS Offshore Data Analyst you will:
• Use a variety of cutting edge tools to analyse and interpret data to make sound conclusions and recommendations. You will help our business expand the boundaries of what can be achieved using data.
• Use your analytical skills to predict patterns of behaviour, understand emerging trends and support those who ensure accurate tax is paid.
• Lead on the exploration and exploitation of a variety of complex data sets, analytical tools and techniques to support a range of stakeholders across HMRC.
• Ensure a wide set of innovative opportunities are explored; evaluating options, impacts, risks and solutions to provide clear problem definitions and encouraging full exploitation of new data and technology.
• Effectively communicate your analysis, influencing both technical and non-technical stakeholders and management.
• Provide regular progress updates on your analysis, keeping people informed.
• Manage conflicting demands and priorities.
• Be proficient in the use of analytical software such as SAS, SQL and Pentaho (or similar software packages) to manipulate complex data sets.
