Salary: £24,000

Hours of work: 35 hours per week (full time) across Monday – Friday to cover our office operating hours
Place of work: Our Head Office in Cardiff City Centre, CF10 1BR (close to Cardiff Castle & the Principality Stadium).

We’re driven to support more people affected by cancer to have access and directly benefit from our support services in Wales, no matter who they are or where they are. And, we’re looking for an experienced, organised, efficient and customer focussed Admin Manager to join US.
A part of making things happen are our Head Office teams who rely on great admin and effectively used processes to keep the wheels turning. This is a stand-alone Head Office based admin role. It’s one where you’ll work closely with our Admin Managers in our Support Services and Income Generation teams.
Our Head Office is the hive of this activity and the place where we welcome staff, volunteers and visitors, manage our printing and post and handle our mainline calls. So it’s a place that needs a steady hand to make sure it operates well day to day and charity wide processes are kept in order.
So a professional administration management service is key to our all-round success and that’s where you come in if you’ve done this type of thing before.

Reporting into one of our HR Managers you’ll need to be comfortable working across a variety of Head Office directorates and taking ownership for keeping our Head Office function running smoothly every day. Based in Head Office and working with our Admin Volunteers mean you’ll also do well in a job working with others and have an inspiring and supportive approach to lead people to succeed.
As well as performing on initiative and proactively solution solving when it comes to admin, processes and general office management you’ll make sure positive working relationships are maintained across the wider charity and an efficient admin service is run and delivered in the most effective ways by you.
Supporting the day to day work of our Head Office directorates much of your admin work will be process driven and doing things like data entry and using systems and databases to input or collate data and run reports, coordinate training and inductions, audit paperwork and make bookings or coordinate deliveries from business areas such as IT. As a key contact you’ll also keep Head Office running smoothly in answering a busy mainline, handle general queries and liaise with suppliers and deal with the organisation’s post and keep on top of visitors and managing the space.
It’s a varied job where one minute you may be booking meetings or travel, to then supporting a team with a system admin process, monitoring a budget to processing letters or handling a complaint.
It’s the type of job where you really do need to be able to effectively communicate, motivate people and be super accurate and work with efficiency and precision in everything you do.
So, we could be a good match if your CV shows that you have:
- Worked in a busy office as an administrator, secretary or PA
- A background in communicating with all levels of professional staff & been a first point of contact for enquiries
- Great working experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases
- Ability to handle confidential, sensitive data well and appropriately maintain the storage of records
- Good skills and experience in administrative procedures and systems and can apply a common sense approach to these process flows
- The ability to collect, collate and present a variety of information in written form
