Job Description
Do you want to make a big difference to young people affected by serious violence across the North of England? Can you help StreetDoctors recover from the impact of the pandemic on our services?
This is a new, exciting, and very varied role in a small and passionate team dedicated to training young people affected by violence in lifesaving skills and increasing their understanding of the consequences of violence. Following the successful development of our bespoke London programme, which is a flagship of our work, we now have funding to develop this model in the North of England. We are therefore looking for someone really ambitious to grow our delivery to young people and support our volunteer trainers in this region.
The role will:
- Develop our existing partnerships with delivery partners across the North of England to effectively deliver our lifesaving skills training to young people affected by violence.
- Grow our relationships with a range of new partners so we can reach many more young people at risk across the region with our service.
- Work closely with our volunteer healthcare training teams across the North of England to engage, motivate and support them in order to manage their delivery of up to 400 training sessions for young people per year.
- Work with our HQ team to help develop and deliver excellent communications, youth engagement, volunteer training and development, and fundraising for the charity.
Details
- Location – home-based in the North of England (with regular travel to Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Sheffield, Bradford and Leeds) with some London based meetings.
- Hours – Full time (37.5 hours per week) for 7 months OR part time (22.5 hours per week) for 1 year
- Salary – £28,000 (full time equivalent annual salary) fixed term with possible extension subject to funding
