Full-Time News Video Editor
Job Description
You must display competence in video editing for all media platforms while meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment. Previous non-linear video editing skills required. You will also be responsible for taking video feeds from various sources and receiving ENG, bonded cellular (LiveU), and SNG signals. Must be able to work with various people and personalities as well as communicating with anchors, reporters, producers and the digital team.
You MUST include a demo link to online examples of your editing work with your application.
You Will:
Capture visual content and edit long-form stories and daily news magazine stories as needed.
Work with producers, multi-media journalists and photojournalists to ensure a high quality product consistent with news magazine’s brand.
Responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to video camera and video editing equipment.
Maintain video archive filing system.
Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
You Bring:
At least 2-3 years of video editing experience is required.
Proficiency in non-linear editing equipment.
Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to the television station Web site.
Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws.
