Full-Time New Retail Store Development Manager
Job Description
Winmark Corporation is a nationally recognized franchisor of Once Upon A Child®, Plato’s Closet®, Play It Again Sports®, Music Go Round® and Style Encore®. As a New Retail Store Development Manager, you will support franchisees in opening new resale retail stores and help make a positive impact to communities throughout North America (50% travel). Work in a collaborative group setting to help create a tailored experience for new franchisees and guide them through the beginning operations of a new store. You will assist franchisees before their store opens, training essential skills, and helping the stores as they open to buy, grand openings to sell, and help create continued training programs. This role is pivotal to the successful onboarding of new retail store franchisees.
Primary qualifications for New Store Development Manager role include:
- 3 – 5 years experience in retail operations, retail sales, or merchandising; retail leadership experience desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, paired with the ability to present and train small to mid-size groups
- Strong relationship building skills with a high level of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy
- 2- or 4- year degree preferred; or a combination of education and relevant experience
- Computer literate
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Requires frequent travel 2 – 3 days during the M-F work week, up to 50% of the weeks
- Must have a valid driver’s license, with the ability to travel in the United States and Canada

The New Store Development Manager role is onsite at Winmark’s Plymouth, Minnesota location, with up travel to new store locations. Annual salary is $48,000 – $58,000 DOQ, plus discretionary profit-sharing and great benefits package.
