Full-Time Network & Systems Specialist

About:
This position will provide customer service and help desk software assistance to our customers (NY Casinos) and escalate troubleshooting techniques to address issues. Documentation and case management are extremely important to this role. Looking for someone who will be fine to work independently.
Details:
- 1st Shift 3 am – 1 pm (4 days per week)
- 8% Shift Differential
- Includes rotational every other weekend work.
- Must be able to train 2-3 months Mon – Fri 8 am – 5 pm
Job Responsibilities:
- Phone and email support to customers and escalate pertinent issues.
- Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with external customers (as well as field service).
- Technical support and problem resolution when required to assist customers with resolution of technical issues.
- Liaison between Technology SMEs and customers to communicate the status of open issues and corrective action plans.
- Perform analysis and execute scripted tasks using SQL Server.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a help desk/technical support environment with intermediate networking, PC, and product knowledge.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 required.
- Intermediate knowledge of networking devices: Cisco switches and routers.
Preferred Qualification/Experience:
- Intermediate knowledge of SQL Server a plus.
- Experience with HP ILO a plus.
- Knowledge of VMware, UPSs, SolarWinds, and Splunk a plus.
