Full-Time Network Analyst (Req#1968)
Job Description
The Network Analyst position is a networking professional whose main role is to provide support within the Network Engineering group of the organization. The job responsibilities begin with an on-site/virtual training, with curriculum designed to test and sharpen your technical abilities, develop strong professional skills, and familiarize you on the technologies you will be working within the production environment. The formal and on job training objective is to gain a better understanding in areas like Core Data Center virtual and physical network infrastructure, SD-WAN network infrastructure, and cloud network services on a large enterprise scale on long or short-term job assignments.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitor, Analyze and troubleshoot network performance using various platforms such as Versa, Cisco ACI, Cisco IOS, Nexus, Solarwinds, Splunk, firewalls and other platforms.
- Participate in Virtual and on-site training paid program with curriculum designed to test and sharpen technical abilities, develop strong professional skills, and familiarize the Network Analyst on the technologies you will be working with in the field.
- As a Network Analyst, you will be working on NE Lab and Production EB networks and will participate to help assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware and software in accordance with EB IT practices.
- Work with multiple teams within the EB Technology Division as well as related 3rd Party Providers and other internal EB Business Lines when necessary, on implementation projects or other it/networking initiatives
Education and Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in a technical role
- Some formal technical training
- General understanding of basic computer terminology and a strong passion to learn
- MS proficient in Teams, One-Drive, Confluence, Office Suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work with technical and business staff, as well as 3rd party vendors
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of analytical and problem-solving capability
- Working knowledge of the OSI model preferred
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
- Self-motivated, able to follow instructions, and work with limited supervision
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness and desire to participate in formal training programs
Work Environment
- An ideal candidate should have basic computer diagnostic skills, be hard working, reliable, flexible, willingness to learn and be a team player, but still be able to work independently.
- On-Call Weekend Support maybe required when called upon for Core Production Change Controls which are typically performed on Saturday or Sunday Mornings (6:00 AM – 10:00 AM).
- Must be flexible to Work outside the Office/Data Center Workplace and open to minimally working 2-3 days per week within Network Engineering Home Office (Currently OEP Lynn, MA). Travel to other sites required when necessary, including within Massachusetts and/or other out of state US based Data Centers.
