Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure and Security, this position is responsible for the following:
- Analyze, support/maintain and troubleshoot network systems hardware and operating system problems as they may occur in day-to-day situations
- Monitor network availability and performance, review alerts and notifications from monitoring systems and diagnoses issues
- Analyze technical and operational problems and work with internal technical teams to resolve problems
- Provide second level technical support to help desk personnel and maintains support documentation as required
- Support, configure, maintain and upgrade network devices, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, load-balancers and switches
- Implement and execute patchment management processes, network and system hardware upgrades
- Assist with the security needs of the network and IT policy and development
- Analyze operational environments for performance, system management, high availability and disaster recovery
- Research and recommend enhancements to the architecture, technology and business needs of the organization
- Ensure change management processes and procedures are followed
- Produce network implementation and migration plans to implement network solutions in an enterprise environment
- Develop and maintain documentation to ensure changing requirements and technologies enhancement are captured and communicated
- Provide leadership, direction, mentoring and assistance to all team members in an effort to foster growth and development
- Work with third party vendors to develop and implement solutions that meet the technical, functional and business requirements outlined by Infrastructure and Security teams
- Assist with capacity planning, networking device procurement and support renewals
- Manage licensing and compliancy
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for network related issues
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Two (2) to three (3) year post-secondary diploma in computer studies or Computer Science
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years Information technology field
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in network administration in a highly technical and multifaceted environment, which includes, servers and microcomputers in a LAN / WAN / Cloud environment
- Completion of Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect is a definite asset
- Strong foundation of networking concepts, including Next Gen firewalls, IPSec , intrusion detection , SSL VPNs, routing, switching and load balancers
- Understanding of general IT concepts and technologies including cloud computing, virtualization, server platforms, and security
- Significant experience in deploying and troubleshooting large scale, complex enterprise networks
- Experience with management and configuration of security appliances such as VPN, firewalls and NAC devices (Cisco , Pulse- Secure , Meraki, Barracuda)
- Experience with Radius, LDAP, 2FA , certificate management and DNS
- Linux and network automation scripting experience are an asset
- Thorough knowledge of MS Windows Servers, Exchange, Active Directory, Solar Winds Orion , O365
- Experience with LAN and WAN area networking technologies
- Knowledge of Microsoft O365 architecture and security and hybrid email environments
- Cisco certification(s) is a definite asset
- Ability to work autonomously, multi-task in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple escalated support incidents under tight timelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Proven analytical, creative problem solving and collaborative decision making abilities
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, customer service and teambuilding skills

Salary: CG 36 – $58,676.80 – $65,483.60 annually
