Salary: c. £35k
Start: summer 2023
Location: London/Hybrid Remote, UK (min. 2 days per week at SE1 6DP)
At Encore, we’re on a mission to build the world’s best marketplace for booking live musicians. Since we launched 8 years ago, more than 4,000 musicians have used Encore to get paid gigs at weddings, parties, and other private and corporate events.
We’re growing rapidly so we need more great acts: from DJs, function bands, world-class violinists, and mariachi bands – to ceilidh bands, Jazz quartets, harpists and bagpipers.
We are hiring our first person (you) dedicated to recruiting more musicians and bands to Encore.
You’ll be self-driven, flexible and fearless – making it your personal mission to help thousands more musicians earn vital income from performing at events booked through Encore.
You’ll work – at scale and at speed – to research, contact, persuade, and onboard hundreds, and eventually thousands, of musicians to Encore.
You’ll nurture prospects using email, social DMs, phone, video calls, online events, and in-person – whatever works best.
You’ll spot opportunities to form partnerships (eg. with music colleges or communities of professional musicians and DJs) that can be a short-cut to reaching dozens or even hundreds of artists at once.
You will educate musicians about Encore and what it takes to get the best from our product (and persuade them to use us instead of competitors)
Your closest colleague will be our Head of Artist Growth Jonny – but without question you’ll get to know everyone on our ~35-person team of passionate, entrepreneurial music lovers.
Together we’ll create thousands of unforgettable musical experiences, helping musicians all across the UK earn a fair income.
This is a full-time hybrid/remote role with at least two days per week (Thursday + one other) in our London office at The Ministry of Sound (SE1 6DP).
