Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join us here at Thrive Homes! This frontline role will be customer focused, providing a comprehensive repairs and maintenance service, in accordance with our policies and procedures, ensuring that the works are carried out safely, to a high standard and within budget.

The Opportunity
The role holder will be responsible for completing repairs in our customers’ homes. The role demands a high quality of work and customer care that will help exceed our customers’ expectations.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for completing repairs in the homes occupied by our tenants.
- Receive work orders through your PDA and be given appointment times to attend.
- Identify the right and cost effective solution to problems that you attend and complete those repairs to a good standard and with the minimum inconvenience to the customer.
- Liaise with the Planner in Thrives office to organise jobs and maximise your working time.
- Work in accordance with our policies and procedures relating to safe working in our customers’ homes and public areas
- Provide out of hours support to Thrive Homes on a rotational basis
Requirements
- City and Guilds in a relevant skill or equivalent
- Full driving licence
- You will be expected to specialise in one of the following trades: Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Plastering, Brick Laying, Painting & Decorating or Ground Work / Fencing, be highly competent in a second trade frim the list, and be able to undertake at least two other trades to a standard level.
- You will be able to fault find and accurately diagnose the repairs needed; decide the most efficient and effective value for money for money solution and arrange materials where needed.
- Experience of carrying out repairs in social housing would be advantageous
- You must be competent in using an electronic personal digital assistant device to receive and record work.
