Job Title: Mortgage Process/Closer
5+ month contract
*** Federal Credit Union has an opening for a Mortgage Closing
Representative in the Mortgage Department at its headquarters located in Fort Worth, Texas. If you enjoy real estate and want to learn the mortgage closing loan process from beginning to end while working with a great team in a fast-paced environment, this is the position for you.
Daily job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for pre-closing Loan Quality Initiative requirements, credit analysis and quality control of the loan information
• Timely and accurate closing and funding of our mortgage loans in all 50 states plus the Virgin Islands, using the Prime Alliance LFC system
• Serve in a backup role for initial member contact via incoming phone calls and for taking applications through our Prime Alliance loan origination system
• Representing the Mortgage Department in various Credit Union days, seminars and other special projects as directed by the management staff of the Mortgage Department
• Meeting deadlines and assisting with production goals
• Must be a team player and must be able to work under deadlines and be able to multitask with little supervision
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act. Job level to be determined based upon qualifications and experience of the elected candidate. Department hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday. Extended hours and weekends may be required.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or GED is required
• Thorough knowledge of Client, NCUA and AAFCU Mortgage Lending Guidelines is preferred, and Residential Mortgage Closing and Funding experience is a plus
• Good working knowledge of various PC software including Desktop Underwriting, Prime Alliance, Episys, MS Excel, and MS Word is strongly recommended
• Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
• Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently is a plus
• Previous mortgage lending experience preferred
• Above-average interpersonal and communication skills and professional telephone manners
• Strong organizational skills and capacity for attention to detail
• Must work well under deadlines and high volume pressure
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment
• Well organized, quick learner and adapt well to change
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
• Satisfactory work performance and attendance are required
• Candidates will be required to pass applicable *** pre-hire compliance checks
• Must have acceptable credit history, which will be verified (e.g., no past due accounts, chargeoffs, collection items or bankruptcies)
