Job Description

We’re looking to expand our local IT team in a fast changing and developing IT environment. This role will be based out of our New York headquarters located in Midtown Manhattan working with the local and European IT teams, Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and clients in a large open office environment.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Management of the local domain; work with the local IT as well as MSP on all domain related topics
• Administration and support for virtual machines
• Second level support and development of Microsoft Intune (Windows & iOS device management)
• Second level support for virtual desktop environment (VMware / Citrix)
• Management and develop our new Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure
• First line user support (on site, via call or remote) when needed
• Coverage of a broad technology stack (desktop computer, virtual desktops, mobile devices as well as partly switches, networks, data center equipment)
• Troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, OS or network related issues
• Fielding and resolving ad-hoc user requests
• Fist line problem analysis and accurately diagnose issues
• User administration, System monitoring
• Ad-hoc network configuration changes and troubleshooting
• Work with vendors and other third parties on day-to-day basis
• Taking ownership of smaller projects and deliveries
• Work with the local IT as well as the global investment banking IT groups to strategically develop our desktop and cloud environment

Your experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field experience with a minimum of 5 years of end user support
• Ideally Microsoft certified (MSCE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in 2^ndlevel support and management of Windows domains
• Experience with
  • Azure cloud services such as ‘Azure Virtual Desktops’ required
  • Office 365 services required (MS Office, Intune, ExO)
  • Virtual desktop environment (Citrix, VMWare) required
  • Windows Server, Group Policy, Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange Online required
  • PowerShell experience required
  • Network administration and cybersecurity preferred
  • Microsoft Teams ideally preferred

• Experience in supporting users in a Broker/Dealer environment would be preferred
• Good communication skills, ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to a demanding client base, meeting deadlines
• Client oriented, proactive in providing excellent customer service
• Highly motivated, structured, reliable and detailed.
• Driven, with a hands-on attitude and flexible but strategic approach
• Willingness to travel as needed
