As a Wespath meeting and events planner you’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating key internal and external event activities including site selection and management, budget planning and adherence, and guest management services. This highly collaborative role will have you working across many departments and with many leaders, including the C suite.
More specifically, as the Meetings and Events Planner you will have the opportunity to:
- Plan, coordinate and implement all activities related to events hosted by the organization as well as key external customer groups
- Conduct site management services including site selection, contract negotiation, hotel liaison/relations and bill reconciliation and payment for all events
- Provide guest management services for internal and external audiences including maintaining guest information, guest communication and liaison/relations and ensures that all guests for all events receive quality service
- Negotiate services, fees and contracts with external vendors and maintain liaison/relations for all events
- Manage the fiduciary responsibility and monitors fees for all events. Resolve guest, hotel and vendor issues and concerns
- Provide guest management and logistical presentations to a variety of audiences
- Build registration sites and oversee travel services for staff and external audiences
- Identify and document process improvements for all aspects of meeting and event planning services
- Participate in and/or provide project management services for staff committees, task forces and special projects as required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of work experience in meeting/event planning, public relations, organization management, corporate/community relations, or related function
Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) Certification
- Background in church and/or non-profit organizations
