Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Writer to join our Medical Education team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the main elements of content support at The Corpus, part of Scientific Group, which includes conducting thorough needs assessments, writing up post-meeting reports, creating case studies and minor slide editing. The Medical Writer will lead on grant applications; identifying opportunities, defining the unmet need, proposing topics and submitting a suggested educational programme.

The role would suit somebody looking for variety and autonomy in a role. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working independently, although support will be available/provided from the Director and the content team of the wider Scientific Group. The role will be diverse and offers the rare opportunity to develop knowledge and skills across therapy areas and writing styles – storytelling, slide editing, insight reporting, meeting write-ups, case study development, defining learning objectives, and so much more.

The Corpus (www.the-corpus.com) is a specialist in providing innovative and engaging online medical education programmes, providing practicing doctors around the world with the opportunity to continue their learning in a way that suits them. Programmes include live online meetings with global Thought Leaders, mini-games, interactive case studies and a variety of on-demand content. The meetings give healthcare professionals an exclusive opportunity to join medical experts who provide expert guidance to simplify the complexity of the ever-expanding body of medical knowledge.

We are looking to grow our independent medical education offering through grant-funded programmes, and the Medical Writer will play a key role in driving this forward.

We are looking for someone with energy and excitement that is ready to hit the ground running.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Medical writing experience, preferably in a medical education setting
  • Exceptional communication skills – face-to-face, on the phone and in writing
  • Researching and interpreting scientific information across a wide range of therapy areas
  • Translating ideas into written proposals
  • Exemplary organisation and prioritisation
  • Knowledge of grant application processes, CME, pharma compliance around the world and instructional design in medical education would be a distinct advantage
