Position Description

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Responsible for direct patient care and assisting other clinical staff with direct patient care in a professional manner according to established policies, procedures and standards of care.
• Staff member will perform MA/PSR functions as assigned per the practice manager of the assigned practice site
• Staff member is responsible for handling sensitive, confidential medical and social information among patients, caregivers, the physician, nurse practitioner and social worker
• The staff member coordinates the scheduling of patient appointments, obtains precertification?s, referrals and authorizations for requested procedures
• The staff member supports the clinicians of the assigned site with medical management of patients, as well as prepares and completes various internal forms for approval as needed and all other duties as assigned.
• This position requires providing services to the primary care and multispecialty practices throughout the Philadelphia Einstein Network. The MA/PSR floater will provide services to the following age population(s); 0-99 in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:

• HS diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant Certification with 3 to 5 years of continuous medical office experience is required
• Knowledge/familiarity with ICD10 codes, CPT coding, HIPPA and medical terminology
• Ability to perform clinical functions such as venipuncture, finger sticks, injections and lab/specimen prep, perform Electrocardiograms and other in-office procedures as deemed necessary within the scope of the position
• Successful completion of computer-based clinical skills testing is required.
• General typing (28 WPM) preferred; filing and reception skills, spelling, grammar and telephone etiquette skills, front desk, strong customer service skills are required
• Staff member will be assigned to various offices within the Einstein Physician Practices upon need to ensure safe staffing levels and optimal business operation.
• This position requires travel to multiple satellite locations. Car and valid driver?s license are required.
• Medical Assistant Certification Required
• CPR certification is required.

Physical Demands:

• Physical Requirements: standing, sitting, walking, lifting 20lbs, stooping, reaching, assisting patients,moving equipment.
• Visual Requirements: ability to read patient charts, instrument and equipment output.
• Hearing Requirements: ability to hear normal conversation and telephone communications. Ability to use stethoscope
• Working Conditions: normal medical office environment with adequate heating and lighting.
