Under the leadership of the Director, Business Development, the Marketing Specialist serves as a liaison between the Washington, D.C. office and the Marketing Department. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with a range of individuals in the D.C. office and across the Firm, including attorneys, senior professionals, and Firm leadership. Goals include owning and executing high-profile projects as well as day-to-day marketing and business development operations. The person selected for this position must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. After an initial period of in-office training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides support to the Director, of Business Development in managing financial aspects of the Marketing Department’s work such as budgeting and reporting to the business development team.
- Writes, edits, and publishes a variety of collateral, including bios, matter descriptions, pitches and proposals, and internal communications, especially for, but not limited to the stakeholders and practices in the Washington D.C. office.
- Helps to advance the marketing and visibility efforts of the Firm in the Washington D.C. office.
- Tracks and manages profile-raising activities such as significant events, social media campaigns, community involvement, conferences, and sponsorships. Crafts and coordinates marketing content and deliverables to contribute to the success of those activities.
- Oversees Pitchly database to ensure accurate capturing of matters and pitch notifications. Trains Marketing staff and attorneys on its use and interface with vendor contacts. Implements tracking of sponsorships within Pitchly to assist with ROI assessments.
- Interprets marketing data, including campaign results, conversion rates, and online traffic to improve and reinforce future marketing strategies and campaigns.
Education and Experience Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent experience.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a marketing environment managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred
- Work experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in Washington D.C. the expected salary range is $68,500 – $85,500 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
