Marketing & New Business Associate

WASHINGTON, DC – REMOTE FLEXIBILITY / MARKETING / FULL TIME

Overview: We are seeking a full-time Marketing and New Business Associate to join our team and help drive growth with a focus on our new line of client offerings. The ideal candidate will bring a unifying and organizing approach to work and an eagerness to make a positive impact in the world. If that sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you!

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Support the marketing and strategy teams in building our brand awareness, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and driving growth across our practice;
• Communicate directly with clients from initial outreach through the contracting and invoicing phase;
• Conduct research on prospective clients and help to manage and update our marketing and new business CRP, HubSpot;
• Work with internal teams to help ensure we’re able to meet the needs of prospective clients;
• Collaborate with the marketing team to help plan for events, identify and organize conference submissions, develop outbound communications, and support lead acquisition efforts;
• Assist with a new brand rollout, from ideation to execution;
• Bridge marketing and finance to ensure contracts and other administrative documents are sent and processed, including state registrations for nonprofits;
• Complete ad hoc projects as necessary.

Must-have qualifications:

• Passion and dedication to good causes – be they political or nonprofit;
• At least 1-2 years experience, including past internships and part-time work;
• Strong writing and editing skills;
• Ability to juggle and multitask on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment;
• Willingness to take initiative and use good judgment to resolve problems;
• Ability to collaborate on a team both internally and externally;
• Excellent organization skills: detail-oriented and ability to follow through;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google apps.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

• Experience with a political campaign, nonprofit, or interactive marketing company is particularly appreciated but not required.

Salary range for this role is $50,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
