Your Role 

This is a part-time role, requiring 20 hours per week. We are very proud of our People First culture at Metrix. As part of the hiring process, we’ll work with the selected candidate to determine the working schedule that works best for the candidate and the team.

As an agency with constantly evolving client needs, we’re increasingly in need of people with a blend of skills who can help us deliver the best possible service to our clients. 

As a Marketing Intern, you’re passionate about creating engaging and effective campaigns to acquire and nurture prospective customers to convert. You are a strong communicator who is interested in understanding your target audience and using that to personalize marketing experiences. You’ll collaborate with our Chief Operating Officer and Operations & People Enrichment Specialist to help achieve our goals. You will also assist our marketing team with maintaining our social media channels.

This internship will assist in developing your marketing skills further and provide you with opportunities to learn and grow. You will gain diverse experience and contribute to several different projects over the course of the internship. As a people-first company, we will make sure that you are given the tools that you need to not only succeed, but thrive! 

What You’ll be doing 

Marketing

  • Support with the development of content for email campaigns, LinkedIn and other marketing activities
  • Configure email marketing and marketing automation tools 
  • Generate engaging social media content campaign ideas that align with the brand’s voice and values
  • Create and schedule social media posts across various channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok
  • Monitor audience engagement and review social media analytics to develop reports related to key business objectives and optimizing content
  • Support with setup and monitoring of LinkedIn and Google Ads campaigns
  • Ensure our online presence is consistent with our brand and sets best practices for user experience and customer experience
  • Identify prospective audience segments and insights to inform positioning and support a content and nurturing strategy
  • Support with the creation of win-back campaigns to re-engage lost leads
  • Help in the creation of future marketing initiatives
  • Assist with the design and procurement of marketing collateral
  • Provide insight about current market trends and recommendations

Project Support

  • Support the marketing team with daily project tasks
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables based on your contributions
  • Self-manage smaller projects with the support of your team members

Technology

  • Continually build your expertise in various marketing platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Copper CRM, MailChimp, etc.)

Your qualifications  

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications
  • 1-2 years of marketing experience considered an asset
  • Previous experience developing and tailoring content with exceptional copywriting skills to meet the needs of the audience
  • Demonstrable experience and success in social media marketing and content creation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
  • Proven attention to detail skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability navigating ambiguity and problem-solving capabilities
