Full-Time Manufacturing Process Engineer
Job Description
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, such as reducing cycle times, minimizing waste, and enhancing product quality.
- Investigate production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations to diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Select and implement appropriate machinery, tools, and equipment to support efficient and reliable manufacturing operations.
- Conduct validation studies and experiments to ensure that manufacturing processes meet regulatory requirements, quality standards, and customer specifications.
- Document process changes, procedures, and specifications accurately. Generate reports, data analyses, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to stakeholders.
- Manage projects related to process improvement, equipment upgrades, new product introductions, or capacity expansions from conception to implementation, ensuring timely completion and successful outcomes.
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, equipment, and procedures to ensure proper implementation and adherence to standards.
- Provide value to our customers by using Lean tools and concepts to identify and eliminate waste in all forms (scrap/rework, transportation, motion, waiting, inventory, over production, over processing, and under-utilization of people). Uses systemic thinking by seeing processes from end to end and works to challenge the status quo to eliminate the root cause of problems. Is involved in individual and/or team activities that involve using Lean tools and concepts to improve the flow of information and material.

- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, preferably; chemical engineering, mechanical.

- Three (3) years prior experience in manufacturing or a machine shop environment.
- Proficiency in engineering principles, process design, and manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies, troubleshoot technical issues, and develop effective solutions to improve manufacturing processes.
- Requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process documentation, data analysis, and implementation of process changes.
- Basic project management skills to plan, organize, and execute process improvement projects, including setting goals, defining milestones, and managing resources effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and other stakeholders to implement process changes and drive continuous improvement.
